Haaland Celebrates 10,000 Volunteer Sign-Ups

Haaland’s momentum continues to grow as she has received unprecedented support from New Mexicans in her campaign for governor

Albuquerque, N.M. – Today, the Deb Haaland for New Mexico campaign announces that more than 10,000 individuals have signed up to volunteer for the campaign—with less than a year remaining until the primary on June 2, 2026.

“New Mexicans are excited about Deb’s vision for the future and are lining up to help get her elected,” said Felicia Salazar, a spokesperson for the Haaland campaign. “The grassroots momentum behind this campaign is absolutely incredible, and it’s only growing stronger by the day. New Mexicans are ready for Deb—and she’s ready to lead.”

Hardworking people from every single county in New Mexico have expressed interest in getting involved with the campaign. The average online contribution to the campaign is just $32.42, another indicator of the grassroots enthusiasm driving Haaland’s bid for governor. Over 9,600 New Mexicans have made online donations to the campaign, and Haaland has now raised more than $4 million.

Salazar went on to say, “Deb’s people-first message of affordability and strengthening New Mexico in the face of threats from the Trump administration is resonating in every corner of the state, and she will continue to bring more people into our movement throughout the campaign.”

In the past week, Haaland shared directly with voters through her social media accounts that she secured crucial endorsements, including from former Albuquerque Mayor Marty Chavez, former State Auditor Brian Colón, Albuquerque City Councilor Joaquin Baca, Las Cruces City Councilor Becky Corran, former State Senator Siah Correra Hemphill, former Valencia County Chair Pam Cordova, and the national veterans organization Common Defense. These are in addition to the scores of endorsements she had already garnered.
