Deb Haaland Celebrates Navajo Nation in Northern New Mexico

SHIPROCK, N.M. – Deb Haaland celebrated the 112th Northern Navajo Nation Fair by walking in the Shiprock Parade today. During the three-mile route, she spoke to voters about the challenges they are facing and the need for a leader who will reduce everyday costs caused by Trump’s tariffs, invest in education, protect healthcare, and keep communities safe.
“It was a joy to join the Navajo Nation to honor their history and culture. I will always protect the traditions, sovereignty, and economic future of every Tribe, and today I’m wishing the best to all of the folks participating in the rodeo, dances, songs and traditional activities,” Haaland said.
During her Lift Up New Mexico Tour stop in Shiprock, Haaland met with a large crowd at a coffee shop and discussed Tribal Sovereignty, education, and small business opportunities. Throughout her campaign, Haaland has traveled to all 33 counties in the state to meet directly with New Mexicans and hear their concerns and ideas to tackle New Mexico’s toughest challenges head-on.
