Deb Haaland Submits Petition Signatures to Secure Spot on New Mexico Gubernatorial Ballot
SANTA FE, NM – Deb Haaland submitted her paperwork and petitions to officially qualify for the New Mexico gubernatorial ballot today. She secured a pre-primary designation and her spot on the ballot within the first 24 hours of the signature collection process opening. Haaland received signatures supporting her run for governor from every county across the state.
Since launching her campaign, Haaland has travelled to all 33 counties to hear from New Mexicans and share her vision to lower costs, improve education, invest in public safety, and increase access to healthcare. She has over 110 endorsements, the support of thousands of volunteers, and has raised over $9 million – all a testament to a groundswell of support and momentum as she heads into the Democratic primary on June 2.
“I’m running for governor for New Mexicans and our kids. It’s about opening doors and creating opportunities for what comes next,” Haaland said. “I’m deeply honored by the broad support we’ve received and excited to continue sharing my vision for a stronger New Mexico every step of the way.”
