Animal Protection Voters New Mexico Endorses Haaland for Governor

Albuquerque, N.M. – Today, Animal Protection Voters New Mexico, announced their support of Deb Haaland in the race for governor. 

“New Mexicans care about animal protection issues and seek out policymakers who value the role animals play in our lives. We are delighted to endorse Deb Haaland for Governor of New Mexico based on her experience and proven track record on pro-animal policies. Throughout her career, Haaland has sponsored and voted for legislation aimed at protecting wildlife. In Congress, Haaland co-sponsored multiple bills to end horse slaughtering, address private possession with big cats, and strengthen federal prohibitions on extreme animal cruelty. She earned a perfect score from Animal Protection Voters for her work fighting for animal welfare. As Secretary of the Interior, Haaland worked to support wild horse management and conservation efforts to protect lands for our animals and removed several species from the endangered list.
