Haaland Denounces Trump’s EPA Rollback That Puts New Mexicans’ Health at Risk 

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Today, Deb Haaland, released the following statement on Donald Trump’s decision to no longer regulate greenhouse gases and harm Americans’ health and environment:

“Repealing the endangerment rule is nothing short of a travesty. This decision is about choosing profits over people. While Washington wants to sell out our planet and our people, New Mexico will move forward to protect our air, water, and landscapes when I’m Governor. 

“My record supporting environmental protections and pushing the largest investment in renewable energy in American history is vital to the future of New Mexico. As this campaign progresses, voters should ask which of the candidates has the values, the record, and experience to not only fight back against the Trump admin, but move our state forward. 

“Whether it’s the Administration violently invading our communities with ICE and violating civil rights, ripping healthcare away from millions and food away from children, or now revoking protections for clean air, safe water, and our landscapes, it’s clear — Governors need to step up and fight back. That’s precisely what I will do.”
