Haaland stomped in communities in Northern New Mexico with under 60 days until the general election

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Over Labor Day weekend, Deb Haaland, the Democratic nominee for governor of New Mexico, shared her vision to lower costs across six counties in Northern New Mexico, as part of her Roadrunnin’ Tour. Stops this weekend included meet and greets in Sapello, Clayton, Raton, Roy, and Taos, a Labor Day concert in Taos, a Labor Day celebration in Mora, and the Wagon Mound Bean Day Parade.

“I’ve traveled thousands of miles and it couldn’t be more clear – New Mexicans need someone who will fight for them in the Roundhouse, and I’m going to bring my experience to make life more affordable, improve education, make healthcare accessible, and build safer communities,” said Haaland. “There’s so much at stake in this election and I will bring the voices of New Mexicans to Santa Fe.”

With less than 60 days until the general election, Haaland is focused on meeting New Mexicans in their communities and having face to face conversations. Throughout the tour, Haaland focused on the needs of working families in New Mexico and shared her vision to lower costs by holding big corporations accountable, improve education with early reading interventions and trades in the schools, make communities safer with tools for law enforcement and addressing root causes of crime, and improve healthcare access with a public option.
