KRQE: Deb Haaland takes commanding lead in latest New Mexico gov. primary race poll
Albuquerque, NM – A newly released poll shows Deb Haaland continuing to lead the polls in the race for governor.
The recent poll reinforces what others have already made clear: Haaland has the momentum to win. Across every publicly available poll in this race, Haaland has consistently come out on top by double digit numbers. Meanwhile, Haaland’s opponent fails to gain ground despite campaigning for over a year and spending more than his campaign has raised.
“Deb Haaland’s vision to make life more affordable, help our kids read earlier, fix our broken healthcare system, and fight the Trump administration’s dangerous agenda sets her apart from her opponent. In contrast, her opponent’s plateaued numbers reflect his MAGA funded media campaign of falsehoods and failure to communicate a coherent vision for New Mexico. Deb has led in every poll by double digits and maintains a 5-1 cash advantage. By every metric, this race is over,” said Campaign Manager Dylan McArthur.
Haaland has the most legislative and executive experience in this race. In Congress, Donald Trump signed five of her bills into law and as Secretary of the Interior, she oversaw an $18 billion budget and more than 70,000 employees.
Haaland has traveled to all 33 counties in New Mexico to meet with voters and hear their priorities for New Mexico. Her policy plans reflect those conversations and she is committed to lowering costs, providing a quality public education, strengthening public safety, expanding access to healthcare, and standing up to Donald Trump.
