Haaland is Ready to Defend and Lift Up Our New Mexico Family

Albuquerque, NM – In a newly released ad, Deb Haaland shared her journey defending her family and how she will use that experience to defend New Mexicans.

The ad, titled “Defend,” is the latest ad released by Haaland’s campaign and will air across New Mexico’s major media markets.

The ad showcases Haaland’s journey defending her family as a single mother – she worked multiple jobs, relied on SNAP and WIC to get through tough times, and accessed healthcare through Medicaid.

She is the best person to take on the challenges New Mexicans face and Trump, because she has lived those experiences and has stood up to Trump and won.

Haaland wants to ensure New Mexicans have the best opportunities ahead of them. She will fight for better schools, safer streets, and lower costs for rent, utilities, and groceries. Throughout her campaign, Haaland released policy plans for education, public safety, affordability, and healthcare that were based on what she heard from New Mexicans across the state.

“The ad makes clear that Deb understands what New Mexicans are facing, and she’s the best candidate to address those challenges. From growing opportunities in public schools, creating effective policies to make us safer, and increasing wages and lowering the cost of living so families can thrive, Deb will deliver as Governor,” said Haaland Campaign Manager Dylan McArthur. “New Mexico cannot afford to go backward like we did under the Republican Martinez administration. Deb’s vision ensures every working person in New Mexico has a real opportunity for a better quality of life.”

As your governor, I’ll fight for better schools, safer streets, and an affordable life for every New Mexican.

And when Donald Trump tries to push us down, I’ll lift New Mexico up.

I approve this message because New Mexicans are fierce and no one will decide our future for us.
