RECAP: Deb Haaland Shares Vision to Lower Costs Across Eight Southeastern Counties During Roadrunnin’ Tour

Deb Haaland, the Democratic nominee for Governor of New Mexico, shared her vision for lowering costs across eight counties in southeastern New Mexico, as part of her third Roadrunnin’ Tour. Stops this weekend included meet and greets in Roswell, Carlsbad, Hobbs, Tucumcari, Clovis, Portales, Fort Sumner, and Santa Rosa.

“Our campaign is about bringing New Mexicans together, and making sure every community, from the biggest cities to rural villages, has a voice in our state’s future,” said Haaland. “I’m so grateful for the New Mexicans who showed up, and shared their stories. There’s so much at stake in this election and I will bring the voices of New Mexicans to Santa Fe.”

With less than 50 days until the general election, Haaland is focused on meeting New Mexicans and having face to face conversations. Throughout the tour, Haaland was laser-focused on the needs of working families in New Mexico and shared her vision to lower costs by holding big corporations accountable, improve education with early reading interventions and trades in schools, make communities safer with tools for law enforcement and addressing root causes of crime, and improve healthcare access with a public option.
